Greg Meyer, Deputy Director of the Broward County Office of Public Communications, and Mike Jachles, Chair of the Florida Association of Public Information Officers and the PIO Deployment Team and PIO for the West Palm Beach Police Department, will present a PR case study on the 2017 airport shooting at the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport at FPRA Volusia/Flagler’s Jan. 20 professional development luncheon.
Meyer is the former PIO for the airport, and Jachles is an emergency communications expert and veteran PIO in Central and South Florida. Their presentation, “The Importance of Communications Relationships,” will focus on the three Ts: team, technology and training.
The event includes lunch in the Dennis McGee room, 2nd floor, at Daytona Beach International Airport.
